“TIPs for parents provided a safe space to learn and grow. I gained many tools in my tool belt to help me gain a better understanding of myself and my child. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of the topics covered and support provided by the facilitators. Sometimes parenting can feel isolating, it was very encouraging to have a small community of support and strength. Overall, 10/10. You guys rock!”
“TIPs for Parents pulled me in by saying it will give you tools to be a better parent, and walking away, I definitely feel like a better parent.”
“Safe, creative skill building and mindful information that can serve as an aid in designing a life with desirable quality.”
“Class was interactive and informational. Discussions were helpful and a safe place to show challenges. So much great information and tools to utilize!”
“Coming into this, I originally thought my past didn’t have that much of an effect on my present life. Now looking at my life, I can say my upbringing made some of my decisions today.”

Where is the group held?
-
Our group is held in the Sandels Building on FSU's campus!
-
-
Do you all provide childcare?
-
Yes, we do have childcare! A graduate student leader and a team of trained undergraduate student volunteers will watch your children. Since we will be discussing adult topics, children will not be allowed in the parenting group meetings.
-
-
How long is the group?
-
Each session will be 1 hour and a half, and there will be 8 weeks of sessions.
-
-
Do both parents have to be there?
-
No, we just need at least one parent, but we have seen the most benefit with co-parents in group together! We know co-parenting with your partner or the other parent to your children can be stressful. Our goal is to try to set you both up for success by creating cohesion for your child.
